Comprehensive Legal Help After Serious Injuries

3 car features that may make driving dangerous

Today’s cars are being equipped with every feature known to man – or at least that’s what it seems. Businesses and manufacturers are designing cars that are not only easy to drive and convenient for long distances but enjoyable. While a shiny new car may be the next thing you want to invest in, you may need to consider other options.Despite what dealerships want you to think, many car features make driving worse and more dangerous. You may be able to avoid catastrophic injuries after knowing what features to avoid, but others may not. Here’s what you should watch for:

Pre-installed GPS systems

While most people can pull up a GPS app at any time, some manufacturers try to improve consumer appreciation by having pre-installed GPS systems in their cars. Using a GPS, however, can come with risks. You’ll likely have to take your eyes off the road to look at where your GPS is sending you. Even two seconds away from the road could cause an accident.

Black-colored cars

Many people pick their cars based on their favorite color (while others may just pick what’s convenient). If you were to pick a black car, you could be raising your chances of being involved in a car accident. Black, brown and green cars can be harder to spot at night and may blend in with their surroundings.

Entertainment systems

Many modern cars have in-system GPS devices that double as TV screens and phones. While a quick call on the phone or movie playing in the background doesn’t seem all that threatening, you may be risking an accident. Using means taking your attention away from the road to focus on the screen, only much more time may elapse while on a phone call or movie.Your choice of car can greatly alter the likelihood of being in an accident, despite this, you may still be in an accident and need legal support for your losses and injuries.
